Summary 

Drawing on two films by Salvadoran director Brenda Vanegas—Cartas de Lucía and El Camino Más Largo—as well as Salvadoran folklore, La Quebrada explores dynamic titling and translation through projection and video editing. Working within a collaborative multi-disciplinary devising process, La Quebrada considers experiences of fragmentation due to state violence and forced migration within their larger geo-political-historical contexts. The virtual showing will be a presentation of this experimentation and will form an archive of our one-week live exploration.
