Summary

The new production entitled “IKARUS, stirb oder flieg” tells the tragic Greek myth of Icarus’ flight in the unique ambience of the monastery church in Königsfelden; an international dance ensemble lends Icarus new wings. Contemporary-, flamenco-, and breakdance flirt with each other in the choreography by Rob Kitsos, while live musicians perform a composition by Christoph Huber. Roman Sonderegger’s sculptural space concept serves as backdrop for Artistic Director Brigitta Luisa Merki’s new interpretation of the myth of Icarus.
