Summary
WE LIVE HERE is a large-scale video exhibition of visual art created by Downtown Eastside (DTES) artists in Vancouver. This free community-based project showcases the making of artwork by DTES artists, video recorded and then played back at hyper-speed in a large-scale outdoor projection. This public spectacle offers a unique outlet of expression for artists and residents in a historically under-served and under-resourced community, taking inspiration from the phrase “we live here.” The project is produced by Radix Theatre Society in association with the Portland Hotel Society and the Downtown Eastside Heart of the City Festival
